COVID-19 INFO

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Clubhouse will be open with a limit of 10 members or guest allowed into the house at a time.  We have instituted a tag system. There will be a board on the table on the porch with 10 tags and a place to list your name as having used the house. Please sign in and take a tag when you enter the house and, please, put it back when you’re finished.  If no tags are available, please do not enter the house.  This is on the honor system. We are relying on each of you to follow the guidelines please.

Please adhere to the following guidelines

SLSC Guidelines for using the Club

  • Maintain at least 6’ distance from others
  • Wear masks if closer than 6’
  • Sanitize high touch areas between use, including:
  • Trailer dollies
  • Crane controller
  • Boat hooks
  • Ramp handrails
  • Hoses
  • Port-a-potty door handle
  • Wash hands often
  • No group gathering other than household members
  • Stay away from other members boats
  • Do not help other members launching or retrieving boats unless it is an emergency. This includes helping on the dock with lines

A message from our Commodore:

As we enter the 2021 season, covid is still an issue.  Hopefully the vaccine will allow us to return to something closer to the way things were in the past.  Until New York State changes the guidelines we will adhere to the guidelines that we established last year.  We hope to see more members at the club this season.

For any members directly affected by the pandemic will be accommodated. Please contact John Smith directly to discuss. John Smith can be reached either by email at commodore@sailsaratoga.org or by his cell at 518-951-8792.

Our member’s safety is the most important thing in our considerations. With that in mind, the clubhouse will be opened with the limitations defined Covid-19 info. We have staged an additional port-a-john for use just north of the house and in the usual location by the race shed. A First Aid Kit and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) have been placed in the race equipment shed (combination unchanged). When we get to the point where there will be activity at the club we will be getting another port-a-john. You may still come to the club to work on your boat or to go for a sail.

Please stay safe. We will get through this and have many more days of enjoyment at the club in the future.
