Welcome to Saratoga Lake Sailing Club, situated on the western shore of Saratoga Lake in the foothills of the Adirondacks just outside historic Saratoga Springs, NY.
As the name says, we're a Sailing Club. This means:
We accommodate sailboats exclusively, i.e. no powerboats.
We're a volunteer organization; most club work is performed by members. The Club has no full-time employees.
We emphasize sailing, including an active one-design racing program, as well as sailing instruction.
Our dues and fees are very affordable
While the house and grounds are open to members year round, our sailing season runs from May through October. Club series races are held on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. Visitors are welcome then to tour the club and meet some members.
We are an active club, organizing many activities and events, including:
Regular races from May to October, ending with the Indian Summer Regatta in mid-October
hosted by each fleet that draw sailors from around the north-east
Active Sailing Instruction Program with a multi-week sailing school run by US Sailing-certified Instructors
A sailing program for STRIDE Inc. an organization that provides adaptive sports opportunities for children with disabilities
Several major social events during the season, such as the season-opening Commodore’s Party, Memorial Day Champagne Brunch, 4th of July Barbeque, and Labor Day Lobster Boil
If you plan to visit our club for the first time, please introduce yourself to members while you’re there; we look forward to meeting you and showing you around our club.
